In the first quarter of 2025, the music and audio app landscape on Android in Kuwait showcased interesting trends. Here's a closer look at how the top five apps performed during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Music Player & MP3 - DDMusic by Hitchhike Tech saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at around 3.5K and dropping to about 2.1K mid-quarter, before rising back to approximately 2.8K by the end of March. The app maintained a consistent user base, with weekly active users climbing from 9.8K to over 10.3K.

YouTube Music experienced a substantial increase in weekly downloads early in the quarter, peaking at about 2.9K in mid-February. However, downloads later declined to roughly 1.6K by the end of March. Active users mirrored this trend, starting strong at around 55K, dipping mid-quarter, and recovering to nearly 50K.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts from Spotify AB showed relatively stable weekly downloads, remaining around 1.3K. Revenue saw a noticeable peak in late February at approximately $800, while weekly active users consistently hovered around 113K.

Tunecho music-Play offline by Shinwari Tech had a declining trend in downloads, starting at 3.4K and dropping to just over 230 by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, decreasing from 3.5K to about 2.1K.

Anghami: Play music & Podcasts from Anghami Technologies maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $1.1K in late February. Downloads and active users remained stable, with minor fluctuations, ending the quarter with around 1.2K downloads and 15.9K active users.
